Sebastian

Sebastian

Pedro Winter, ex-cap wearer and head of Ed Banger Records was once swimming in a demo ocean. His label, then brand new and already hip was dragging hundreds of thousands Cds, EPs, even cassettes and singing telephone messages, forcing Pedro to move to a 10.000 m2 office.

Pedro, "fin connaisseur" when it comes to talent and style, picked up a demo labelled SebastiAn. He had already met the man behind it when SebastiAn was producing rap songs. The cd featured tracks of claustrophobic yet playful electro from a mysterious 23 year old Parisian. The prodigy got signed in a minute and 3 tracks were picked for the EP 'Smoking Kills', published in 2004.

From the raw cut up Aphex Twin-esque 'Smoking Kills' to 'Shoot' (Bang! nothing to add), and the less fuzzy / more bleepy 'Dolami', the EP got very popular on every fresh dancefloor. The record was spun by best taste disc-jockeys around the world such as Erol Alkan and others.
\r\nSome entertainers even bought it. Whereas those guys seldom pays a record. Come on. People went crazy at parties, some broke their knee caps while dancing and all others came home exhausted.

Following the success of 'Smoking Kills', SebastiAn was asked to remix Annie's "Happy Without You", Benjamin Theve's "Texas" or Swedish electro clashers Revl9n's \"Walking Machine", even Kelis "Bossy" and became Daft Punk\'s favourite remixer after his work on his "Human after all" mix every time flipping the tune upside down and cigarette-burning the rhythms.

The limited split 7" 'H.A.L.' came out in 2005, shared with Krazy Baldhead's 'Time.Period', with a sleeve to be remembered. Another spanking session for friends only.

The beatmaker produces tracks all day and night, wait for his album(s) to feature cut-up techniques, funk detonations and break spasms. For SebastiAn kills.
