Cochise is a country rock band that performed in the late 60’s and early 70’s started by Mick Grabham.
Mick was then, and still remains, a first-rate rock guitarist. His heavy rock style was tempered by a great respect for Country guitarists like James Burton. This unlikely interplay gave Cochise a unique instrumental sound. Their self-titled debut album ‘Cochise’ included the hits “Watch This Space" and "59th Street Bridge Song”.
"Swallow Tales" was the second Cochise album. The band had had a change of direction and new vocalist John Gilbert had a 'heavier' voice. BJ Cole led the band into more of a Free /soft rock style still underpinned by his wonderful pedal-steel guitar playing.
